File Jackets and Box Bottom Hanging File Folders

One of my favourite products is file jackets. Most people walk right by these products, often found right next to their cousins, the file folder. Have you ever jammed a piece of paper into an overflowing folder? The folder’s tab slides into the hanging folder out of sight! File jackets can solve the problem. They expand up to two inches wide to keep materials from slipping out. The reinforced full-length tab extends a half-inch above the front, making your title easily viewed. Because the sides are closed, small pieces of paper remain inside the folder – no more lost notes, slips, or receipts!

At Out of Chaos, we use file jackets in conjunction with Box-Bottom Hanging File Folders, which are, again, cousins to regular hanging file folders. The cardboard strip provided expands the bottom of the hanging file folder by several inches. This keeps the hanging file folder intact and does not let it slide off the filing cabinet glides. You can also get folders that expand to four inches wide. These folders are handy for keeping several file jackets together or keeping booklets organized.
