Spare rooms have a tendency to be a dumping ground for clutter. In this family’s office space, each person was vying for a spot at the desk to use the computer. Then, the next person comes along and pushes stuff out of the way. Clutter builds up because there is no designated area for each person to store their belongings.

To begin with, Linda brought in a shelving unit to create a storage space for each person. There is a cubicle for each person’s belongings. In addition, decorative baskets corral the items. Linda stored office supplies in functional yet aesthetically pleasing bins so everything has a place. Homework and projects were contained and segregated with a magazine rack. To separate mail and ensure bill payments were done on time, Linda installed an inbox desktop sorter.

Desk drawers are great but they can be a vacuous space where stuff goes and you never see it again – nor can you find what you need. Installing drawer organizers ensures everything has a home.
