Linda Chu joins the Shaw TV’s Urban Rush crowd to help them in planning for a long weekend.
With a long weekend coming up, Linda shows off a few space-saving items for camping. Newer camping gear is space-saving and multi-functional. For example, Linda shows a cook set that includes a pot with a frying pan that doubles as a lid. You can also get coolers on wheels with telescopic handles (and all the dishes) that make it easy to transport your food to the campsite.
Linda also recommends that you remove food from bulky boxes and pack it in zipper-seal bags. If needed, cut out the preparation instructions from the box and add it to the bag. This will save a lot of space.
Many people enjoy playing games while camping. Remove board games from their boxes to save space. Pack the pieces for each game in a zipper seal bag and carry the board separately.
Planning for a long weekend means packing the car by using every available space. Linda demonstrates all of the “secret” storage areas in a Pontiac Vibe. There are spaces around the spare tire as well as little compartments beside the wheel wells.
Linda reminds everyone to unpack promptly after returning home from camping and store gear where it is easily accessible for your next outing. Watch the video to learn more.
